I thought I'd share with the group how to unlock a rear hatch when the lock solenoid won't work and the hatch is locked shut. Solution: This will be a problem caused by your diesel particulate filter (DPF). It may be that the DPF is clogged, which is usually caused by lots of short journeys and no long ones. Try going for a long drive that might clear the system out. If it doesn't help, then try checking the DPF sensor, which may have worn out.
