The doors auto-lock when the speed gets above about 10mph. Once stopped pulling the interior door handle in the front doors will allow them to open (I have no idea how the back doors work - I have never sat in the back ). There is a button in the centre console to unlock (or lock) the doors should you need to (to let somebody in, for example).

As my wife shut her door and before I had a chance to put the key in the ignition, the doors locked and the alarm went off. I used the remote to cancel it. I suspected the 5 year old remote might be the problem, so today I used the unused spare key. Now the remote locks all doors etc properly, but will only open the drivers door.
However you can still open the doors from the inside by using the double pull, I wouldn't think that any manufacturer would enable a full lock in, because of safety concerns. The only answer would be to use the child locks, but this would mean that you would have to get out every time, to let passengers out! Posted 9 January, 2010.
If it not works, remove and recheck. And check if the central locking works while manual locking and unlocking. If its not working, the cam may be wrongly placed. Check if the LED blinks. If everything is alright, it should start blinking. If all works well, fit the remaining screws, spring, cables and fix the lock back in the door.
